Ayurvedic Diet
In the scriptures of Ayurveda, it has been emphasized that many of the disorders that one suffers from have their roots emanating from the stomach or the intestinal glands of a person. This is so because when the food intake is nurtitous it has a beneficial impact on the body and augments the immunity of a person. This improved immunity acts as a bulwark against potential viruses, bacteria, fungi etc. Ayurveda says that the food intake of a person should be natural and according to the body requirements.
A health and a nutritious diet is integral for the health of mind as well. Ayurvedic diet charts comprise of meals rich in vitamins, minerals, healthy fats, starches et al. These are said to add to the life-force of a person.
Ayurvedic diets basically work on the principle of – ‘Prevention is better than cure’. However, Ayurvedic diets are known to cure as well.
